Linear magnification produced by spherical mirror is +3 state the type of mirror used and position of object with respect to pole of mirror.

we know,
linear magnification = height of image / height of object .

+3 = height of image / height of object

here we can see that height of image is 3 times of height of object . this is possible in concave mirror , because in concave mirror , magnification is greater then 1 . not in convex mirror .
Since magnification is positive it means image will be erect.so object must place between Focus and pole of the mirror which will give virtual erect and enlarged image.
