Open in App
Solution

Liquid to gas and gas to liquid conversion:

  • Condensation is defined as the change of the physical state of matter from gas phase to liquid phase, whereas, evaporation is defined as a type of vaporization of a liquid that occurs from surface of a liquid in an unsaturated gas phase of the evaporating substance.
  • Here the conversion of liquid to gas is known as evaporation.
  • However, the conversion of gas to liquid is known as condensation.

Hence, Liquid to gas and gas to liquid changes are called evaporation and condensation respectively.
