In MnO the adjacent ions behave as magnets and align themselves spontaneously at low temperatures. So it is antiferromagnetic. Diamond is an example of covalent crystal because it contains atoms which are tightly packed and is very difficult to separate. NiFe2O4 is ferrimagnetic because the magnetic moments in it are aligned in parallel and anti-parallel directions. They are weakly attracted by magnetic field.
