Solution

Answer:

The sequence from beginning to end is listed below:

  • Making of voters list
  • Announcing election schedule
  • Releasing election manifestos
  • Election campaign
  • Filing Nomination
  • Casting of Votes
  • Ordering Re-poll
  • Counting of Votes
  • Declaration of election results

Making of Voters List

  • The list of people who are eligible to vote is prepared long before the elections and shared with everyone.
  • The list of voters is commonly known as the voters list or electoral roll.

Nomination of Candidates

  • Anyone who is eligible to vote is also eligible to contest the elections.
  • The only difference is, the minimum age of voter is 18 years, whereas 25 years is the minimum age of a candidate who wants to contest the elections.
  • The candidates are nominated by political parties and they also get the support of the party as well as the party symbol. A Party ‘ticket’ is nothing but the party nomination.
  • If people have criminal backgrounds then they would be restricted from contesting elections.
