Pancreatic Juice:
The fluid released by the pancreas into the small intestine during digestion is known as pancreatic juice.
Enzymes in Pancreatic Juice:
Trypsinogen: Trypsinogen is converted into trypsin in the small intestine causing its activation. The activated trypsin acts on the proteins present in the food products and converts them into peptides and amino acids.
Lipase: This enzyme works with the bile released from the liver to act on fats present in the food. Lipase converts these fats into fatty acid molecules and glycerol.
Amylase: This enzyme acts on the starch molecules present in the food and converts them into disaccharide sugars called maltose.
