Solution

Four measures for conserving forests:

Forest fire control-

  1. Forest fires are fairly common, owing to the fact that trees are highly flammable and difficult to manage once started.
  2. Natural phenomena, such as lightning or friction between trees during high winds, can sometimes start a fire, but most of the time it is started by man, either intentionally or unintentionally.
  3. It is vital to use the most up-to-date firefighting techniques in order to rescue forests from fire.
  4. Developing three-meter wide fire lanes around the perimeter of the fire backfires, water spray arrangements, and a well-trained firefighting crew should be available.

Planting more trees-

  1. New plantations will help to restore the eco-balance as well as boost forest cover.
  2. For afforestation, trees should be chosen based on local geographical conditions, and care should be taken during the trees' first growth.

Developing green belts and keeping checking on activities in forests

  1. Forestlands have been cleared for the development of villages, towns, and cities, and this process continues to this day, resulting in the loss of forest cover.
  2. This should also be investigated, and green belts around cities should be built.

Proper utilization of forests and their resources

  1. Forests can be developed or utilized as tourism destinations.
  2. The country can earn significant foreign cash by utilizing them as tourism destinations.
  3. Many countries, both developed and developing, have embraced this technique. The terms "national park" and "game refuge" are now widely used.
  4. It helps in preserving the forest ecosystem and wildlife.
