Uses of bacteria in our lives:
Bacteria are used to prepare medicines such as antibiotics. Bacteria produce certain types of chemicals called antibiotics which can protect them from other microbes. These can be used by humans to protect from various pathogenic diseases.
Lactobacillus is a bacteria that can form curd from milk by converting lactose present in the milk into lactic acid.
Acetobacter is a bacteria used to ferment fruits and make vinegar out of them.
Organic wastes such as animal dung can be subjected to bacteria and they decay to convert it into manure that can be used for agricultural fields.
Biogas can be generated by subjecting animal dung to bacteria. The gas released after decomposition is inflammable called biogas. These can be used for cooking purposes.


Uses of fungi in our lives:

Mushrooms are fungi that are a rich source of protein and can be used as a source of food. Example: Agaricus.
Yeast is a unicellular fungus used in bakeries to make bread and it is also used in breweries to make alcohol.
Yeast can be used to produce B-12.
Penicillin is an antibiotic produced by the fungus Penicillium notatum.
Fungi of species Mucor and Penicillium are used in the ripening of fruits.
