The kingdom Animalia is divided into separate phyla which are Porifera, Cnidaria, Ctenophora, Platyhelminthes, Aschelminthes, Annelida, Arthropoda, Mollusca, Echinodermata, Hemichordata, and Chordata.

Main Features:

  1. The members are all multicellular organisms that lack a cell wall.
  2. All are eukaryotic with a well-defined nucleus.
  3. Most of them show mobility.
  4. All animals are heterotrophic and depend on other organisms to obtain food.
