Rate of discount $= 5 %$
$∴$ Amount after giving discount
$= R s . \frac{9000 \times (100 - d i s c o u n t %)}{100}$
$= R s . \frac{9000 \times (100 - d i s c o u n t %)}{100} = R s . \frac{9000 \times 95}{100}$
$= R s . 8550$
Rate of VAT $= 10 %$
$∴$ Amount paid
$= R s . \frac{8550 \times (100 + V A T %)}{100}$
$= R s . \frac{8550 \times (100 + 10)}{100} = R s . \frac{8550 \times 110}{100}$
$= R s . 9405$
