Advantages:

• They are wrinkle-resistant and easy to maintain.
• They are strong and durable.
• They absorb very little water and hence do not shrink after washing.
• They are quite lightweight and available in a variety of colours.
• They are less expensive and readily available.
• They help in conserving the forests.

Disadvantages:

• They melt on heating and stick to the skin. Not recommended to wear while working in the kitchen.
• They are not suitable for wearing during hot summer weather.
