List the possible effects, when an electric current is passed through a conducting solution.

Dear Student,
The possible effects are..

1.Bubbles of gas are formed at the electrode.

2. Metal from the solution gets deposited at electrode. Usually it happens at cathode , as a result cathode becomes thicker.

3.Change in colour of the solution may take place because of change in concentration of metal ions.

4. The solution may get heated.
