Solution

The list of the differentiating features between the processes of galvanization and alloying:

Galvanization

Alloying

  • Galvanization is known as the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron, to prevent rusting.
  • Alloying is known as the process of combining two or more metals or a metal and a non-metal.
  • It is done by the use of electrolysis similar to anodizing.
  • Alloying is done by heating the primary metal and adding the other elements in definite proportions followed by cooling it down to the room temperature
  • In the galvanization process, the properties of the inner metal are not altered.
  • In the process of alloying the properties like conductivity, strength, etc. get altered.
