Community hygiene:
A community means a group of people living together in an area. The personal health of human beings is directly linked to community health.
If a person has good personal habits and eats a balanced diet but the wastewater around his house flows into open drains and flies and mosquitoes breed in open water pools, the person cannot keep good health.
Some of the practices that should be followed for community hygiene are:
There should be provision for safe and purified drinking water.
Public drains should be covered and open drains should be frequently sprinkled with disinfectants to prevent harmful insects from breeding.
Garbage should be disposed of properly. There should be dustbins in public areas like parks, markets, and on the sides of the road.
Garbage and waste papers, etc. should not be thrown in the open.
