The water cycle is the movement of water from one part to the other of the earth surface, water is absorbed from the surface and then falls back in the form of rain. This cycle was also known as a hydrological cycle.

Humans have affected the water cycle in many ways, few are as follows:

• Due to the increase in pollution, the water is getting polluted and thus decrease in fresh water. It occurs through industrial wastes, households wastes etc, the toxic released from the wastes get accumulated into the water thus making it harmful for use.
• Deforestation (cutting of trees on large scale) causes scarcity in the rainfall. Due to less tress b\no evaporation occurs and hence no rainfall.
• Excessive use of water in irrigation of crops causes the lowering of the water table as the water after usage gets mixed with the chemicals, pesticides, and insecticides of the field and making the water toxic.

The greenhouse effect is the effect that occurs due to the trapping of sunlight in the glass house and the increasing temperature leading to global warming. The slogans are:

• "Clean India, Green India, Free from Greenhouse India".
  
• "Go Green, not Greenhouse".
