A polar bear gets adapted to living in the polar regions in the following three ways:
(a) The body of a polar bear is covered with two thick layers of fur, as well as a layer of fat under the skin, which provides excellent insulation.
(b) The white fur of a polar bear camouflages with the white snow, protects it against the predators and helps it to catch its prey.
(c) A polar bear can close its nostrils and remain underwater for a long duration.
