The correct option is A It has novel features absent in prokaryotes and eukaryotes
Novel features

Archaea has some unique features that are different from prokaryotes and eukaryotes.

These include -
  • Absence of peptidoglycan cell wall unlike true bacteria
  • Presence of characteristic tRNA and ribosomal RNAs that are very different from true bacterial rRNA or tRNA
  • Lipids in the cell membrane of archaea are arranged in a single layer.
  • The cell membrane is composed of branched hydrocarbon chains attached to glycerol.
  • This is unlike other prokaryotes as well as eukaryotes.
