The role and responsibilities of a leader are:

1. Leadership indicates the ability of an individual to influence others.

2. Leadership tries to bring change in behavior.

3. Leadership is to achieve common goal.

4. Leadership shows interpersonal relationship between leader and followers.

A leader always influence the behavior of other members since the influence is always for achievement of common goal and it should be to get the willing co-operation of the employees and not the forceful co-operation.
