What is poaching ? Explain why animals are poached?

Poaching is illegal hunting and killing of animals. It was done in ancient times to kill the carnivorous animals which were considering to be dangerous. Later it turned into a game. Nowadays it is done to collect economically valuable goods of the animals like tusks of elephants, hides of tigers and lions, antlers of deers, the horn of rhinoceros etc.
