  2. Air enters the body through the nose, which has two openings, called nostrils, that lead into a pair of nasal chambers.
  3. The nasal chambers are lined with hair to filter air entering it.
  4. In addition, mucus is secreted within the nasal passage to trap germs and dust particles that enter the nose during breathing.
