Solution

The correct option is D Hydra
Looping is a mode of locomotion in Hydra wherein standing erect body first extends followed by bending. The glutinant nematocysts then fix the tentacles to the substratum. It is followed by released of the basal disc from former point of attachment and its attachment near tentacles making the body erect again by releasing tentacles. Somersaulting refers to the extension of the body in Hydra followed by placing the tentacles on substratum like that in looping. The release of the basal disc from an original point of attachment is followed by strong contraction of the body and placing the basal disc on the substratum to release tentacles. The erect body repeats the movement to move. Leeches move using anterior and posterior suckers while Amoeba makes use of pseudopodia for locomotion. Snail moves by crawling.
So, the correct answer is option D.
