Let N invest $x$ rupees

so, M will invest $(x+250)$

Total investment made by M $=(x+250)\times 4$

Total investment made by N $=6x$

Ratio of their profits:

$\Rightarrow 4x+1000:6x$

Total profit $=1000$
According to the problem,

$\Rightarrow \frac{4x+1000-6x}{1000+10x}\times 1000=200$

$\Rightarrow \frac{1000-2x}{1000+10x}\times 5=1$

$\Rightarrow 5000-10x=1000+10x$

$\Rightarrow 4000=20x$

$\Rightarrow x=200$ Rs.

Total investment $=200+250+200=650$ Rs.
