$\frac{16}{5}-\frac{7}{5}$

To add or subtract fractions follow the steps as follows:

(i) Find the LCM of the denominators

(ii) Find the equivalent fraction of all the fractions whose denominator is equal to the L.C.M of the denominators.

(iii) Add or subtract the equivalent fractions.

L.C.M. of 5 and 5 is 5.

$\therefore \frac{16}{5}-\frac{7}{5}=\frac{16-7}{5}=\frac{9}{5}=1\frac{4}{5}$
