Open in App
Solution

Dear Sanjukta, Desmosomes also called as macula adherens are structures (junctions) that join adjacent animal cells together. They are arranged on the lateral sides of plasma membranes. Whereas, Plasmodesmata are cytoplasmic strands present on the cell wall of plant cell. These connect cytoplasm of neighbouring cells, enabling transportation and communication between them. They are common in plant cells.
