(ii) How can the company relate its planning with control in this line of business to ensure that its plans are actually implemented and targets are achieved. (Relate this in the context of the case)
(i) Mable Company seems like a large and old company as it had a substantial market share. Standards in operations may have already been established as they are into manufacturing of health powders and chywanprash. They thus need to :
(a) Analyse for deviations with regards to existing sales strategies — How are they selling? Where are they selling? Who is their customer? etc.
(b) The company can relate its planning with control in the following ways: 1. Determine the reasons for low customer satisfaction — Is it because their products are not effective? Or there are better substitutes in the market? Or their pricing is high or low? 2. Take corrective actions and make improvements in the product or pricing or sales strategies.
(ii) Mable Company may have prepared futuristic plans based on forecasting but their plans are not dynamic that is it cannot change with changing environment. Because of this, they faced problems with sales and customer satisfaction.
