Magnetic field lines represent uniform field strength when they
- Two magnetic field lines do not intersect. If they do intersect, it means that there are two possible directions for the magnetic field at the point of intersection of the field lines, which is not possible for an isolated bar magnet.
- They represent uniform field strength when they are parallel and equidistant from each other.
- The degree of closeness of the field lines represents the strength of the magnetic field and not its uniformity. Closer the magnetic field lines, more the strength of the magnetic field.
