The magnification -1 denotes that the image is inverted.
As real images are always inverted, so the image is also real.
Hence, It is a concave since concave mirrors produce real and inverted image.
Magnification -1 also denotes that the image is of the same size as the object.
We know that when an object is placed at centre of curvature of a concave mirror, it produces real, inverted and equal sized image. So the object's position is at the centre of curvature.
