Solution

The correct option is A 107 N/C

Given:
surface charge density, σ=88.5 μC/m2

The electric field due to each plate has the same magnitude and direction.

E+=E=σ2ϵ0 [towards right]

Enet=E++E

Enet=σ2ϵ0+σ2ϵ0=σϵ0

Enet=88.5×1068.85×1012=107 N/C

Hence, option (b) is correct.
Key Concept : Magnitude of electric field due to each plate is σ2ϵ0 and it's directed along the same direction, which is from positive plate towards negative plate.
