Mahesh found a bicycle in a sale for ₹2500 but it required a new brake cable and brake oil to make it work perfectly. He bought brake cable for ₹82 and brake oil for ₹20, fixed it up and then sold it to his neighbour for ₹3500. How much profit did he make on that deal?

Mahesh bought a bicycle for ₹2500.

Repairing cost = ₹(82 + 20)
= ₹80 + ₹2 + ₹20
= ₹100 + ₹2
= ₹102

Total expenses on the bicycle = ₹(2500 + 102)
= ₹2500 + ₹100 + ₹2
= ₹2600 + ₹2
= ₹2602

Profit = (Selling Price - Cost Price)
= ₹(3500 - 2602)
= ₹3500 - ₹2600 - ₹2
= ₹900 - ₹2
= ₹898
