Solution

The correct option is C Both A and B
The source species are generally those chemicals that live long enough in the troposphere to survive transport to the stratosphere. Once they reach the stratosphere, sources species are destroyed, either directly by absorption of solar ultraviolet light, or by chemical reactions that are initiated by solar UV. Some products of the photochemical destruction of the source species are either reactive or reservoir species.“Reactive” indicates free radicals and other chemical species that are photolyzed into free radicals within minutes. “Reservoir” indicates species such as acids and nitrates that are exchanged with free radicals by reactions or photolysis, but generally over a period of hours to months. All reactive and reservoir species are “trace” species, and have volume mixing ratios of less than 20 parts per billion by volume
