Political activities that we cannot do in Saudi Arabia but can do in India:
a. Saudi Arabia does not guarantee right to freedom of religion to its citizens, it is a theocratic state that establishes Islam as its state religion. . India on the other hand guarantees right to freedom of religion and is a secular country,
b. Saudi Arabia has a monarchial regime.The king selects the legislature and the executive,India on the other hand, is a democratic country extending civil and political rights to all. The country is based on the system of representative democracy where people exercise their freedom of choice to vote.People elect their representatives who in turn make laws for them. Elected representatives are responsible and accountable to people.
c. Saudi Arabia is not a democratic country , it has not granted right to vote to women. There are a lot of restrictions imposed on a woman, India guarantees right and freedom to all. It extends liberties and rights to all irrespective of sex.
d. Saudi Arabia does not grant freedom to form groups, association, even freedom of press is curtailed. India on the other hand has recognised Right to freedom, as one of the fundamental rights which includes, freedom to form groups and associations, In India, freedom of speech and expression is also guaranteed.
Political activities that we cannot do in China but can do in India:
a.China cannot be regarded as a democratic country ,as the country has one party system. . In China, there are elections to elect the Parliament, but only those are allowed to contest who belong to Communist party of China or to some smaller parties which are allied with it, candidates contesting also required prior approval of the Communist party, thus offering no real choice to the people. This is unlike India, where there is multi party system, here we are freely allowed to form groups and associations
b. There exist no opposition in China, In India opposition exist and has an important role to play
c. China rather is a closed society and does not acknowledge fundamental human rights of its people, this is unlike India which guarantees fundamental rights to all and ensures respect for basis human rights
d. China is criticised by strict censorship, one cannot criticise the government , its political leaders, freedom of speech is curtailed, media is also controlled by the communist government. In India on the other hand, freedom of speech and expression is guaranteed, media operates in a free, fair and impartial manner.
e. In China freedom of religion is restricted and controlled by the state administration, In India one is free to profess, propagates one's religion. State does not interfere in one's religions
