Making use only of substances chosen from those given below:

Dilute Sulphuric acid, Sodium carbonate ,Zinc ,Sodium sulphite,Lead Calcium carbonate

Give the equations for the reactions by which you could obtain

Hydrogen.

  • Take a boiling tube and add a few drops of dil H2SO4 and then add some Zinc dust into it. In this Zinc reacts with dilute H2SO4 to form an aqueous solution of Zinc sulfate and Hydrogen gas.

Zn (S)+ H2SO4 (aq)⇢ ZnSO4 (aq) + H2 (gas)
