In angiosperms, the pollen grain is the male gametophyte. Maturation of the male gametophyte or pollen grain includes two mitotic divisions. First divisions form vegetative and generative cell and in the second mitotic division the generative cell forms basically two male gametes (sperm) and their release fro a mature anther. Therefore it has two sperms and one vegetative cell.
