Solution

Cost price of a video =Rs.12000
Selling Price of a video at a gain of 10%
=(100+Gain %)100×CP
=(100+10)100×12000
=110100×12000
=110×120
=Rs. 13,200
So, Rahul purchased at a cost price of Rs. 13,200
Rahul sells it at a loss of 5%
Selling Price of a video at loss of 5%=(100Loss %)100×CP
=(1005)100×13200
=95100×13200
=95×132
=Rs.12,540
Therefore, Rakesh pays =Rs. 12,540
