Let Manoj income be $x .$

Increased income $= x + \frac{20 x}{100} = \frac{100 x + 20 x}{100}$

$= \frac{120 x}{100}$

$= \frac{6 x}{5}$

Now decreased income $= \frac{6 x}{5} - (\frac{20}{100}) (\frac{6 x}{5})$

$= \frac{6 x}{5} [1 - \frac{1}{5}]$

$= \frac{24 x}{25}$

Change in income $= x - \frac{24 x}{25} = \frac{x}{25}$ .

$%$ change $= (\frac{x}{25}) \cdot 100$

$= \frac{100 \cdot x}{25}$

$= 4 x %$
