He invest $\mathrm{Rs}.34000$ more in life insurance plans than petrol bonds. Therefore,

$$\begin{gathered} 70\%of100x=30\%of100x+34000 \\ \Rightarrow 70\mathrm{X}=30\mathrm{X}+34000 \\ \Rightarrow 70\mathrm{X}-30\mathrm{X}=34000 \\ \Rightarrow 40\mathrm{X}=34000 \\ \Rightarrow \mathrm{X}=\frac{34000}{40} \\ \Rightarrow \mathrm{X}=850 \end{gathered}$$

Thus,
