Many shapes can be drawn using a set of straight lines. Closed figures drawn using only straight lines are popularly known as polygons.
A polygon is defined as a closed planar figure with at least 3 straight lines. A polygon is composed of only straight lines which do not cross over. Polygons are of two types: regular and irregular. In a regular polygon, all of its sides and the angles formed in between them are equal. In an irregular polygon, the length of all sides is not equal and consequently the angles formed in between them are also unequal.
