No, Even though Marasmus and Kwashiorkor are both protein deficiency diseases, the symptoms of marasmus stated is incorrect. In Marasmus, the child loses weight and suffers severe diarrhoea and it will appear as though bones are covered by the skin. In Kwashiorkor, the child has enlarged belly with swelling in the face and feet.
