Solution
The correct option is B False
Breathing rate
When we exercise, our bodies utilise more oxygen and create more carbon dioxide as our muscles work harder.
To meet this increased demand, our breathing rate must increase from around 15 times per minute (12 litres of air) at rest to roughly 40-60 times per minute (100 litres of air) during exercise.
If the exercise is strenuous, breathing rates may increase from a normal resting rate of 15 breaths per minute.
As a result, during strenuous exercise, the breathing rate might increase by up to 25 times.
