$\Rightarrow 3\frac{1}{2}m-1\frac{3}{4}m=\frac{(2\times 3)+1}{2}m-\frac{(1\times 4)+3}{4}m=\frac{6+1}{2}m-\frac{4+3}{4}m$

$\Rightarrow \frac{7}{2}m-\frac{7}{4}m=\frac{(7\times 4)-(7\times 2)}{2\times 4}m=\frac{28-14}{8}m$

$\Rightarrow \frac{14}{8}m=\frac{14÷2}{8÷2}m=\frac{7}{2}m$
