Solution

If your question is "Mary is 12 years old and her father is 42 years old. How old will be Mary when age of her father will be 10 times as old as when Mary was 6 years old."

Solution:

Present age of Mary = 12 years

Present age of Father = 42 years

Difference between their ages = (42 – 12) years = 30 years

Father's age = 10 × Mary's age when she was 6 years

= 10 × 6 = 60 years.

Since difference between their ages = 30 years

When father's age will be 60 years, then Mary's age will be 30 years.
