The correct option is Ax=y Mass or moles of reactant required for a reactant will be same for equal volume solutions with same normality though they are different in nature.
n=5 For KMnO4 in acidic medium
∴ Normality of KMnO4=0.008×5=0.04N
n=2 for Mg(OH)2
∴ Normality of Mg(OH)2=0.01×2=0.02N and by the balanced reactions we can get finally x=y .
