Solution

The correct option is A A- 4, B- 5, C- 1, D- 2, E- 3
Endosperm is a tissue produced inside the seeds of most flowering plants around the time of fertilization. It surrounds the embryo and provides nutrition in the form of starch, though it can also contain oils and protein. It is a food storing tissue.
Parthenocarpy (literally meaning virgin fruit) is the natural or artificially induced production of fruit without fertilization of ovules. The fruit is therefore seedless. One of the example is seedless grapes and cucumber.
In mango and coconut, the fruit is known as a drupe. They develop from monocarpellary superior ovaries and are one seeded. In mango, the pericarp is well differentiated into an outer thin epicarp, a middle fleshy edible mesocarp and an inner stony hard endocarp. In the seeds of cereals such as maize, the seed coat is membranous and generally fused with the fruit wall. The endosperm is bulky and stores food.
Coleorhiza is the sheath that envelops the radicle in certain plants and that is penetrated by the root in germination.
Thus, the correct answer is option A.
