Solution

The correct option is D a b c d
2 5 4 1
BOD- Measure of organic matter in water
Biochemical oxygen demand is the indirect way of measuring the amount of organic matter present in the water sample. More the BOD more is the organic matter present which shows that the water sample is polluted.

KVIC- Production of biogas
KVIC (Khadi and Village Industries Commission) and IARI (Indian Agricultural Research Institute) together developed biogas plants which can be used in villages to fulfill their fuel requirements.

LAB- Increases vitamin B12
Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) converts the milk sugar (lactose) into lactic acid reducing the pH of milk. This causes the coagulation of the milk proteins to form curd. This process also improves the nutritional quality of the curd by increasing the content of vitamin B12.

STPs-Treatment of sewage
STP (sewage treatment plants) treats the sewage by primary and secondary treatment. This lowers the BOD of water which can then be safely discharged into a water body.

Final answer
