    • The freshwater ecosystems include ponds, rivers and lakes.
    • The marine ecosystems include oceans and seas.
Artificial/man-made ecosystem:
The ecosystems created and maintained by human beings are called artificial or man-made ecosystems. Examples include crop fields, aquariums etc.
