Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are harmless, non-flammable chemicals mainly consisting of carbon, chlorine, and fluorine. They are mainly used as an important component for manufacturing aerosol sprays, blowing agents for foams and packing materials and also as refrigerants.

Methane is produced by the microbes as a by-product from the stomach of ruminants. They are made up of four compartments with a microbial community which are responsible for production of methane by breaking down organic matter.

Ozone is the colorless and highly irritating gas that forms just above the Earth's surface. It is considered a secondary pollutant as it is produced when two primary pollutants react in sunlight and stagnant air. The primary pollutants are nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Carbon dioxide is produced by the combustion of fossil fuels like coal, petroleum and natural gases. Carbon dioxide is also released in the atmosphere by respiration of all living beings.
