Glottis is a narrow slit like opening through which air enters into the trachea. Epiglottis guards the glottis during swallowing of food; and does not allow any food particle to get into the trachea. Duodenum is a proximal part of small intestine which receives partially digested acidified food from stomach. Caecum is a small pouch that lies at the junction of small and large intestine which gives out a narrow blind tubular lymphoid outgrowth called vermiform appendix.
