Solution

The correct option is A A - II, B - III, C - I
Any undesirable change in the physical, chemical or biological characteristics of air, land, water or soil is called the pollution. Agents that bring about such an undesirable change are called pollutants.

The Government of India passed the Environment (Protection) Act in 1986 for the protection and improvement of the environment (air, water and soil).

The Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act came into force in 1981 for the prevention and control of air pollution.

Bharat Stage Emission Standards are laid down by the Government of India in order to regulate the output of air pollutants from internal combustion engines (an engine which generates motive power by the burning of petrol, oil, or other fuel with air inside the engine) and spark-ignition engine (the combustion process of the air-fuel mixture is ignited by a spark) equipment, including motor vehicles.

Bharat Stage IV was implemented in 2017 throughout India for 2, 3 and 4 wheelers. Hence option a is correct.
