Open in App
Solution

(A). ClF3 is sp3d hybridized with two lone pair of electrons. Thus, geometry is T-shaped structure with two axial and one equatorial bonds.
(B). [PCl4]+ is sp3 hybridized with tetrahedral geometry.
(C). XeF4is sp3d2 hybridized with expected geometry octahedral but due to presence of 2 lone pairs the geometry is square planar.
(D). XeO3 is sp3 hybridized with expected geometry tetrahedral but due to 1 lone pair, the geometry is pyramidal.
