Solution

An alloy is a homogeneous mixture composed of two or more elements (usually metals). Alloys are made to enhance the property of the individual metals.

Bronze and brass are alloys of copper obtained when it is mixed with tin and zinc respectively. Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon. Steel has more strength as compared to pure iron.
