Solution

(A) Wood charcoal: It is an amorphous allotrope of carbon which is highly porous, thus can float on water. Due to the porosity, it provides a large surface area for adsorption. It acts as a good adsorbent, hence can be used in deodorants for controlling body odour. It absorbs moisture and draws out bacteria from the pores of the skin.

(B) Animal charcoal: It is also known as bone charcoal as it can be prepared from the destructive distillation of animal bones. Animal charcoal is rich in phosphorous content rather than carbon and is used in the manufacture of phosphorous compounds.

(C) Lampblack: It is also known as carbon or soot and it contains 99 percent carbon. During the process of formation of lampblack, it gets deposited as a fine black powder which makes it suitable to be used in the preparation of black paints, printer's ink, etc.

(D) Gas carbon: It is an amorphous form of carbon which is obtained either by employing the destructive distillation of coal or heating petroleum products in a closed container at a high temperature. It is considered a good conductor of electricity which paves the way for its application in the manufacture of electrodes.

(E) Coke: It is the derivative product that can be prepared from coal itself by heating soft coal in absence of air and subsequently adding some impurities to it. It is mostly composed of water and is used in the production of water gas. Water gas is composed of CO and H2.
Thus concluding table for the above is;
